EA Announces NFL Street 2
Financial Spread Trading Electronic Arts has officially announced NFL Street 2 for development.
Indeed, since EA released the original NFL Street back in January of this year, it has gone on to sell more than 1.5 million copies and was the second best selling NFL game behind the indominable Madden.
The game is being developed by EA-Tiburon for all consoles, though will only feature online modes for the PS2 and Xbox. The game will is expected to be complete in early 2005 under the EA SPORTS BIG(TM) brand, though no specific date has been announced.
EA claims that NFL Street 2 has been completely redesigned from its predecesor to change the way the game is played. In addition to new game modes, EA-Tiburon is adding interactive wall moves and style catches.
The first video of the game will be released in the extras section of the Madden 2005 game disc. Look for more as the time goes by.
EA Sports' top football title, NFL Street was shipped for the Nintendo GameCube today. The arcade style football title was clearly developed to provide a second alternative to the first successfully bold football title, Midway's NFL Blitz. With 7 on 7 gameplay, a varied NFL roster with 300 NFL greats, eight different field surfaces, customizable players, and 32 playable teams (including a user customized team), NFL Street will have sports gamers prepared for the big, upcoming NFL weeks.
